We must be aware that factories produce different final products or products during processing; there are safe products and unsafe products, flammable products that can ignite a gas explosion (in the event of a leak), and non-flammable products that won't ignite a gas explosion. Consequently, factories vary among them based on the finished product.

I'll give you two examples of factories: an oil and gas or petrochemical plant and a water station. Do these two types of factories share a common hazard? Obviously not. Why?

Water is the final product at the water station; it is safe to handle and posses no health risks for people. But the danger posed by a petrochemical or oil & gas industry cannot be underestimated.

If a leak develops in the water pipeline or at the primary water storage tank, it is not a major concern and technicians may quickly remedy it. Tightening the flange's screw is also not harmful for the technicians. But, if a leak develops in the oil and gas factory's process pipeline, it will be a serious problem and will be devastating if there is any ignition spark at the leak site. To address this, the operation team and safety team must work together to develop an accurate maintenance plan.

Even the maintenance tools used for maintenance at oil&gas pipe line are distinct from general tools which used for water pipe line. Because utilising common fastening tools could result in a spark during a gas leak, igniting the gas would produce a large explosion in the plant. Therefore, it should not cause sparks, such as copper-made tools.
